BRIANNA.

this little bio is about brianna, put as simply as possible. now, who am i really? for one, too cool to capitalize the first letter of my sentences. i don’t care if it’s too internet hipster (forreal). secondly, i am  young — nineteen years to be exact. i don’t care what people say about us young’uns not knowing anything about anything. if you have a passion for something, it breaches all barriers. speaking of passion….  

my infatuation with makeup began at a very young age. as a young girl, i would always watch my mother (and when i would spend my summers in new york, my grandmother) sitting behind the mirror, beautifying themselves. and when they weren’t looking, i would secretly swatch their cosmetics on my arm, leg… basically anywhere (a beauty blogger in the making!!). i begged… no, PLEADED, to be allowed to wear makeup, but i was always told to wait until i was older.

then middle school came along. desperate to fit in, i begged and pleaded some more. my mom caved in, and i was allowed to wear lipgloss and pink eyeshadow. i was even allowed to wear brown eyeliner on my lower lashline! boy, was i cool (ed note: i cringe!). i quietly snuck on more makeup, and eventually was wearing more makeup than any middle schooler should be allowed to wear. i had no idea what i was doing. now that i think about it, i had no idea what i was doing until my junior year, and even then i still had no idea. once i was in my senior year, i had a makeup artist friend show me some tips and tricks, and i became infatuated with makeup eeeeeven more. i youtube’d makeup tutorials, and that is basically how i know everything i do now!

this tumblr blog is just a supplement to my main blog, brikasia.com. i used to post a lot of my youtube videos and review on here, but quickly realized that isn’t what tumblr is about. on tumblr, you need to keep things short, sweet, and to the point so people actually care. so, i just post tiny snippets of actual blog posts along with pictures. I also occasionally post pictures of myself. I have a youtube page as well. Links are on the sidebars.
